Come join Clifford Pickett and Susan Magnano in Central Park as we explore the most secluded and peaceful area of Central Park, the North Woods. You will feel like you just stepped out of Manhattan and into the Adirondack Mountains as we photograph cascades, arches, bridges, birds, reflections and flowers. We will make our way through the north woods on the rustic path towards the Garden Conservatory to photograph the beautiful flowers.
Some locations we'll be shooting include the ravine, the huddlestone arch, the pool, the loch, the conservatory garden (macro), rusting bridges and various types of flowers, plants and wildlife along the way.
We will meet in front of the Charles A Dana Discovery Center at 4pm.
Bring your tripod and a variety of lenses. Polarizers and ND filters are useful when photographing the cascades as well.
Proper footwear, bugspray and sunblock are recommended as well.
